Installation of Geodual

GEODUAL comes as an executable file for linux, mac and windows. In order to make the installation a little bit more comfortable, the qt shared libraries are part of the corresponding package.

Linux

The package for linux contains two required qt libraries (libQtCore, libQtGui). To make sure the shared libraries are found when starting the program, use the shell script geodual.sh. The script sets the LD_LIBRARY_PATH enviroment variable, so the dynamic linker knows where to look for the libraries.

Mac OS X

The executable file for Mac OS X comes as a disk image (.dmg). Mount the image in Finder, drag the app-bundle to your application folder and start it. The app-bundle geodual.app contains the binaries and frameworks for both PowerPC and Intel systems.

Windows

Extract the contents to a folder of your choice and start geodual.exe.
